Our journey started in 2016, with a vision to bring smarter, more secure and convenient access management to organisations across the UK and Europe.
Keynetics Ltd was established as a division of SentriLock LLC, a leading electronic key safe manufacturer and service provider in the USA.
A lot has happened since those early days! From introducing new technologies to building lasting relationships with customers and partners, each milestone has helped shape the business we are today.

2002
SentriLock® founded in the USA
SentriLock, Keynetics’ parent company, was founded in 2002 on three key attributes that continue to guide the company’s phenomenal growth: Stability. Superior technology. Exceptional customer service.
2003
First prototype design
One of the key design objectives was to create a simple, effective solution for managing temporary property access, combining convenience, security and added value for users.
2004
First SentriLock® installation
From its first installation in Iowa City, IA, in June 2004, SentriLock has continually evolved to meet the needs of its users.
2008
350,000 Key safes sold
A major milestone for SentriLock, reflecting the growing adoption of its technology. What started out as a small business steadily evolved into a large company of committed employees who are dedicated to the safety and security of the people who use our technology.
2011
SentriLock® purchased by the National Association of Realtors
As it is directly accountable to the real estate community, SentriLock continues to build the innovative solutions that are backed by exceptional service.
2015
One million Key safes sold
SentriLock reaches one million key safes sold, reflecting years of technological development and a continued focus on safety, flexibility and accountability.
2016
Launch in the UK
Keynetics begins its journey in the UK, bringing SentriLock’s key management technology to a new market, with ambitions to transform keyholding and access management.
2018
First Keynetics Installations Across Europe
Keynetics installs its first key safes in the UK, the Netherlands and Spain, marking an important step in the company’s European expansion.
2021
Keynetics celebrated 5 years in business
Celebrating its fifth birthday, Keynetics continues its geographic expansion with new customers in France, Germany and Turkey.
2024
Launch of SentriGuard
Keynetics introduces SentriGuard and Access+, a new-generation keyholding system offering key detection, enhanced platform and app capabilities, and greater control over timed property access.
2025
The year of industry recognition
A year of awards nominations and industry recognition for SentriGuard. Finalists in the Outstanding New Security Product category at OSPAs, commended for Security Innovation of the Year at FSM Awards and nominated for the Access Control Product of the Year at the PSI Premier Awards.
2026
CELEBRATING A DECADE OF INNOVATION
What began as a vision for a smart access control solution has developed into technology used by blue-chip organisations across Europe.
